About the Mid-Atlantic Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
The Mid-Atlantic Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (MAHCC) is the largest Hispanic business organization in Maryland and the District of Columbia and one of the most active chambers of commerce in the Mid-Atlantic region. Census reports and the Chamber's real-time experience in the changing demographics of the Latino community, the fastest growing minority population in Greater Washington, indicate a wealth of business opportunities, particularly as Hispanics become more affluent. Facts about Hispanic Businesses in the U.S. can be found on the About page of www.MAHCC.org. Unique among American chambers, the MAHCC is organized into chapters that serve specific local or county-wide jurisdictions. This organizational structure provides for a better service at the grassroots level. Vice Presidents, who are also members of the Board of Directors, head the chapters. NOVA Chapter mixers are held every second Tuesday of each month at La Sandia Restaurant in Tyson’s Corner. Yorktown Bistro in Arlington hosts the monthly Business Leaders Luncheons on the third Tuesday of each month. Other activities, including business seminars and workshops, candidate forums, annual legislative receptions and joint events with local and state chambers of commerce, are held throughout the year.
