Washington, DC Last night, the Central American Resource Center [CARECEN] honored Clark Construction Company for their role in strengthening communities beyond the job site. For the past 100 years, the ideals of George Hyman, Clark’s founder, have guided the company’s business activities, corporate philanthropy and community service.

In the greatest economic crisis of our time, charitable organizations are faced with increased calls for their services and much diminished donor resources. CARECEN has lauded Clark for their exceptional commitment as a partner even in this economic environment.

CARECEN specifically acknowledged Clark’s dedication to giving back through service, particularly hands-on projects in the community.  Annually Clark employees, individually or in teams, perform over 4,000 hours of community service through programs such as serving meals to the homeless, assisting in elementary school education programs, building playgrounds renovating homes for the less fortunate, or cleaning up parks and community areas.  In addition, Clark has a laudable record in addressing the needs of its labor force and their families, many of whom are first generation Americans.

At the 29th  Anniversary Dinner and Award Ceremony, CARECEN honored Clark Construction LLC with the Business Ally Award for their unparalleled commitment to the organization and the community.  Additional information about Cark can be found at www.clarkconstruction.com.
