Washington, DC  – With the opening of Ozzie’s Corner Italian Restaurant, Forrester Construction Company and VERCO are also celebrating the completion of another successful construction partnership. Forrester was the general contractor for the restaurant build out and subcontracted to VERCO Management Company for initial preparatory renovation work.

The finished space now houses Ozzie’s, an American restaurant serving Italian food. Great American Restaurant, the owner, developed the concept and menu for over a year before execution.  This new restaurant space recreates the early 1900’s neighborhood dinner houses reminiscent of New York’s Little Italy. The difference is Ozzie’s is big and new. For example, the bar hosts big screens with sports programs but is separated from the dining area by walls of glass.

Forrester’s management team of restaurant construction experts was led by Tim Wilson, Charles Cerria and Luis Ortiz. “This is Forrester’s second project with Great American Restaurants. We’re extremely happy with the finished product and VERCO’s contribution to the project” said Charles Cerria, Project Manager.

Antipasta, insalata, panini, carne, pesce and fresh house made pasta are offered, as would be expected.   In addition to the Italian items, other entrees include ample plates filled with filet porcini, wood grilled rib eye or waldorf steak salad.  This really is an American restaurant serving Italian food in a bright, big and vibrant space themed to take you back to Little Italy long ago. VERCO is a Washington DC based small business enterprise that was brought in to this project to begin façade changes, saw cut concrete and asphalt for installation of new plumbing lines, remove mechanical equipment and prepare for dock area changes.  “Forrester delivered a finished restaurant that is very nice.
