MDC will contribute to the cultural and intellectual enrichment of South Florida communities by training up to 100 Latinas to become licensed real estate agents in Greater Miami. The deadline to apply closes on Dec.8 and the candidates selected will be published on Jan. 5, 2018.

The 2017 Empowering Latinas kick-off event will take place at the MDC’s Wolfson Campus Auditorium, Monday, Nov. 27, from 6-8 p.m. To RSVP and learn more, visit empoweringlatinas.eventbrite.com

MDC will support this initiative through an informative and motivational kick-off event and study sessions on Jan. 15 and Jan. 28, 2018, and the graduation ceremony will take place Feb. 26.

MDC is the largest campus-based and most diverse college in the nation, with eight campuses and more than 165,000 students. MDC offers over 300 distinct degree pathways, including several baccalaureate degrees, and seeks to increase educational opportunities for its students and the community at large through meaningful partnerships with local, national, and international institutions.

“At MDC, we believe that opportunity changes everything. We are thrilled to partner with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation to expand opportunities for Latinas in the important real estate industry,” said María Carla Chicuén, Special Projects Assistant to the President.
