WASHINGTON, D.C. – The GWHCC will make it easier for businesses to meet by introducing a business matchmaking tool for its upcoming expo. Buyers and suppliers can get to know each other in advance and set one-on-one meetings for the day of the Expo. This tool also instantly matches buyers and suppliers based on filtering categories such as industry and company size. Users have access to supplier profiles that include company descriptions, brochures, videos and contact information.

My Business Matches is the company providing this useful service. ”One-on-one sessions will maximize the productivity that exhibitors, buyers and suppliers have at the expo,” stated Jeff Vigil, President of My Business Matches. “Small businesses are the backbone of our economy; however, gaining access to the right buyers is difficult. My Business Matches helps businesses by connecting them with buyers from corporations and government agencies interested in purchasing their specific products or services.”

The business matchmaking tool is also crucial to prime contractor companies looking for smaller groups to partner with or create Mentor-Protégé relationships. “Knowing the line of work of successful small companies ahead of time expedites the process of forming partnerships,” says Carlos Rivera, Chairman and CEO of CAMRIS International, an international development consulting firm in Bethesda, MD.  “The Business Matchmaking platform has great potential since our company constantly teams up with small companies to perform contracts and bid for business opportunities with federal agencies.”

This year’s expo will be held on March 16 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and will bring together business leaders and decision makers from dynamic small companies, corporations, embassies, prime contractors as well as federal and local government agencies in the Washington DC metro area.  As of date, sponsors include American Airlines, Double R Productions, El Tiempo Latino, Fannie Mae, FedEx Office, HSBC Bank USA, La Nueva 87.7, Lanigan, Ryan, Malcolm, and Doyle, PNC Bank, State Farm Insurance, Telemundo, Verizon, Verizon Wireless, Viva 900, Wachovia, Walmart and Washington Convention and Sports Authority.
