Washington, DC - The Latino Coalition (TLC), one of the largest membership and advocacy organizations for Latino-owned small and mid-sized businesses, made the following statement regarding the results of the 2014 Midterm Elections:

“The votes were counted and the people spoke: America chose leaders that understand the need for a true economic recovery, an increase in job growth and the importance of a pro-business agenda,” said Hector Barreto, Chairman of The Latino Coalition and former U.S. Small Business Administrator.  “These midterm elections were critical for the business community, as well as key issues important to our organization such as energy policy, healthcare improvements, immigration reform and trade and tax reform.  TLC is fully committed to rolling up our sleeves and working with the Administration and elected officials— Democrats and Republicans, alike— to enhance the overall business community, develop less job-killing regulations, open new markets and expand a productive and diverse workforce to ensure American prosperity for generations to come.”
