AMEXCAN Calling on the Hispanic and Latino to Early Voting Polls

 Government   Fri, October 21, 2016 11:08 AM

Greenville, NC- The Association of Mexicans in North Carolina (AMEXCAN) is calling on all eligible voters, especially those in the Hispanic and Latino community, to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming election next month.

It is of an urgent nature that you vote because your vote truly counts. Your vote Can and WILL determine the future of OUR country. The Hispanic and Latino community has too much at stake for anyone eligible to vote to sit idly by and allow someone else to decide the fate of our livelihood as a Hispanic community. The threat for mass deportation and mass discrimination is far too real. AMEXCAN urges you to please go out and vote! There are no excuses not to vote; a few hours of missing work are nothing compared to the possibility of a lifetime of continued and discriminated struggle.
Early voting begins October 20th and those who are already registered to vote can begin to cast their ballots then. Those who have not registered may register and vote at a One-Stop early voting site in their respective counties with proof of residence. The registered will need to present a valid form of identification such as a state issued driver’s license or a photo ID from a government agency such as a military ID.

The applicant must also present another current document showing their name and current address such as a utility bill, bank statement, property tax bill, hunting or fishing license, vehicle registration, paycheck or W2 statement, birth certificate with current address, or an official school document showing student’s name or address.

Again, AMEXCAN calls on all Hispanic and Latino eligible voters to make their voice be heard, to what is best for our nation, and to make their vote count.
