Palo Alto, CA [CapitalWirePR] June 22, 2017 – The Latino Business Action Network (LBAN) will recognize 71 scaled Latino and Latina businesses from across the United States on Saturday, June 24th, at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. The entrepreneurs have completed the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative Education program, an immersive seven-week program providing participants with valuable scaling frameworks, a diversified network of capital providers, business mentorship and a deep understanding of mobilizing resources for sustainable business growth. The initiative is a collaboration between Stanford University Graduate School of Business and LBAN (https://www.gsb.stanford.edu/faculty-research/centers-initiatives/slei). The “Scaling Excellence” course is based on curriculum developed by Huggy Rao, Stanford Graduate School of Business Faculty and Bob Sutton, Stanford School of Engineering Faculty, who are internationally recognized as experts in scaling businesses.
LBAN is chaired by Dr. Jerry Porras, co-author of the international best seller, Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary Companies and the Lane Professor of Organizational Behavior, Emeritus at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Mark L. Madrid serves as LBAN’s Executive Director.
The criteria for the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative Education program applicants is generation of annual gross revenues of at least $1 Million, employment of greater than 50 and/or company positioning in the Series-A stage and having raised at least $500,000 from external sources. LBAN now has an alumni base of over 300 scaled Latino entrepreneurs that have completed the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative-Ed program. Additionally, LBAN collaborates with Stanford in producing the State of Latino Entrepreneurship research report.
The following 71 Latino and Latina entrepreneurs will convene at Stanford on Saturday to meet with capital providers and to receive their completion certificates from Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Education as part of LBAN’s Closing Ceremony at CEMEX Auditorium. This fourth cohort combined employs greater than 10,000 employees and grosses over $730 Million in annual revenue.
