CHCI 2016 Public Policy Conference Approved as Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) Recertification Provider

WASHINGTON, D.C.The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI), the nation’s leading Hispanic leadership development and educational services organization, today announced its 2016 Public Policy Conference is approved to serve as a Recertification Provider for the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).  The two-day event in Washington, D.C. on September 13-14, 2016, will feature at least nine sessions approved for human resource professionals to receive up to 13.5 professional development credits through SHRM’s Body of Competency and Knowledge (BoCK).


In 2016, CHCI's Public Policy Conference will feature BoCK aligned sessions addressing issues to include employee resource groups, health care, diversity and inclusion in the energy, health care, technology and public sectors, leadership, workforce needs, skills gap, and terrorism prevention and responses.

CHCI’s annual conference gathers members of Congress, top industry experts, and corporate, nonprofit and community leaders, to participate in timely discussions of major policy issues affecting the Latino community and the nation. This year’s event will be held at the Walter. E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Mt. Vernon Place, NW, Washington, DC, 20001.
