Los Angeles, CA - September 15th kicks off Hispanic Heritage Month. It's a time to reflect on the recent hate and violence aimed at our Latinx and immigrant communities.

Now is the time to #BreakHate and have an open, honest and real conversation on the racial issues happening in the US and find solutions that will uplift our community. Sharing our narratives through media is one way to get our message across and some folks use their creativity to share it with the masses.

Gregory Nava’s Oscar-nominated 1984 film, EL NORTE, is a powerful story of immigration to the United States continues to speak volumes.

Watch it in select theaters Sunday September 15 at 2pm featuring an exclusive featurette with Gregory Nava discussing the making of the film with its stars, Zaide Silvia Gutiérrez and David Villalpando, who portrayed the migrant siblings.

“It is my hope, that as we begin Hispanic Heritage Month, we can all gather at the theaters showing EL NORTE; bringing friends and family as well as people who do not understand the issue, and create a dialogue to change the current narrative of hate and intolerance that plagues our nation. I know that if we work together, we can build something much stronger than a wall - we can build a bridge.”
- Gregory Nava

Mr. Nava is donating his proceeds from the screening to the victims of the #ElPasoMassacre.
