Announcing a Major New National Initiative Accelerating the Number of Latino Students Who Attain College Degrees by 2030

Washington, DC -Excelencia in Education will unveil a first-of-its-kind national program designed to support institutions and help Latino students attain degrees while charting a course for higher education to better engage Latino talent and grow America’s human capital.

When:  October 11, 2018 * 8:30 am to 10:00 a.m.

Where:  Mayflower Hotel, Palm Court Ballroom (1127 Connecticut Avenue, NW WDC 20036)

Speakers include:

·         Sarita Brown, President, Excelencia in Education

·         Walter Bumphus, President, American Association of Community Colleges

·         Jacki Cisneros, President, The Gilbert & Jacki Cisneros Foundation

·         Gabriella Gomez, Deputy Director of Postsecondary Policy and Advocacy, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

·         Felix Matos Rodriguez, President, Queens College, CUNY and President for Latino Student Success

·         Deborah Santiago, CEO, Excelencia in Education

·         Bell Wheelan, President, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on College (SACSCOC) and Excelencia in Education Board Officer
