https://vg9w4029-ent302.houston.hp.com/teams/CACustomerEngagement/Presentation%20Library/Ramon%20Baez%20Bio%20and%20Images/Ramon%20Ukon_JK_20140224_0136%20cropped.jpgRamón Baez is the Senior Vice President, Customer Advocacy for Hewlett-Packard Enterprise.  In his role as Senior Vice President, Customer Advocacy, Ramón is focusing on a customer-centric, technology-driven business strategy across the organization to ensure best-in-class experiences for customers and partners that will increase HP’s customer retention, partner satisfaction, and brand loyalty.  He is the chairman for the company’s Global Diversity & Inclusion Board, an entity that serves as the strategic governing body for global diversity and inclusion (D&I) at Hewlett-Packard. The Board works to align D&I to business imperatives, representing workplace needs and customer/marketplace opportunities; drives accountability for key outcomes of D&I strategic priorities; and engages HP leadership in championing HP’s commitment to D&I.

For the last two years, Ramón served as Hewlett-Packard’s Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO), responsible for the global information technology (IT) strategy and all of the company’s IT assets that support HP employees and help drive strategic company priorities. This includes worldwide application development, the company’s private cloud, IT security, data management, technology infrastructure, and telecommunication networks. Ramón’s vast career experience spans across various global Fortune 100 companies in the manufacturing, packaged goods, aerospace and defense industries, and products and services for the scientific community.

Prior to HP, Ramón was vice president of information technology services and CIO of Kimberly-Clark Corp., where he was responsible for leading the company’s enterprise-wide information systems initiatives. Before Kimberly-Clark, Ramón served in CIO roles for Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc. and Honeywell’s Automation and Control Solution group. He began his career at Northrop Grumman, where he spent 25 years and finished as CIO for its electronics systems sensor sector. Ramón graduated from the University of La Verne in California in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
