Maryland Hispanic Business Conference Unveils Top-Notch Opportunities

Bethesda, MD - The Maryland Hispanic Business Conference (MDHBC) will celebrate its 15th anniversary October 3, 2016 during its annual gathering held at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. The hallmark event attracts more than 700 entrepreneurs, government officials, media companies and corporate leaders.

“Hispanic entrepreneurs are driving our economy, creating jobs and fueling our nation’s rapid growth,” said Executive Director Maria P. Rodriguez.

The conference kicks off at 9:00am with a plenary breakfast and an official ribbon cutting ceremony featuring a Conversations with Leading CEOs with Maria Martinez, founder and chief executive officer, Respira Inc, Ricardo (Rick) Martinez, president and chief executive officer, Project Enhancement Corporation and Natalie Martz, owner, Chick-Fil-A.

Event organizers boast three top-notch opportunities for this year’s attendees:

·         The Career Fair and Exhibition Hall spotlights the region’s dynamic workforce by offering job seekers sought-after employment opportunities – while creating a forum for employers to recruit diverse talent.

·         Ready, Set, Exito is a special procurement connection workshop, organized in collaboration with the Governor's Office of Minority Affairs (GOMA), that provides contract opportunities to small and minority/women-owned businesses.

·         The Latino Innovators’ Pitch, launched by Cool & Associates LLC, invites enthusiastic entrepreneurs to present their innovative concepts & companies and compete for a $5,000 cash prize and year of mentoring support. 

The conference offers a variety of seminars moderated by the region’s leading business experts. Attendees will also hear from some of the State’s government officials including Maryland’s Lieutenant Governor Boyd K. Rutherford, Congressman Chris Van Hollen and Montgomery County Executive Isiah “Ike” Leggett.
