New York, NY - It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Marcy Lopez on December 28, 2018. The Latino Commission on AIDS was extremely fortunate to have had Marcy Lopez as part of our team in 2007 and 2008. Marcy Lopez was an amazing young leader who always showed dedication, passion, and professionalism in her work in New York, regionally and nationally during her time in several of the Commission's programs and projects. Marcy was a warrior for public health and her legacy will be honored by all of us as we continue to strive for the same goal Marcy worked for our community's health.

"We will always remember Marcy Lopez for her contributions to our programs and her dedication, passion and excellence. I will always remember her beautiful smile and contagious energy as well. To Marcy from all of us at the Commission, we will always love and remember you. Until we meet again" stated Guillermo Chacon, President of the Latino Commission on AIDS and founder of the Hispanic Health Network.
