BALTIMORE - The Latino Providers Network (LPN) honors the William & Lanaea C. Featherstone Foundation with its Community Service Award today during their annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration. The citywide Awards luncheon attracts more than 100 leaders, service providers and educators.

“The Featherstone Foundation has an unparalleled reputation for improving lives and making a difference in our community,” said David Rosario, LPN Board President. “The Latino Providers Network is pleased to honor such a high caliber organization that upgrades the livelihood of ordinary people through their training programs.”

The Featherstone Foundation recently unveiled a new workforce development program, Reaching New Heights to address the gaps between bilingual talent and employers who are seeking to tap the 1.5 trillion dollar Hispanic market. The program is preparing bilingual, Latino candidates in resume development, interviewing skills and customer service – and matching vetted candidates with employers in banks, insurance companies and credit unions.

“I dedicate this award to the hundreds of participants who have come through our doors, said Lanaea C. Featherstone, Foundation President.  “I’m so grateful to LPN for honoring our contributions to the Hispanic community.”
