Washington, D.C. – LATINA Style Inc., the premier company addressing the needs of Latina professionals, civic leaders, entrepreneurs, college students and members of the Armed Services, in partnership with Parents Step Ahead (PSA), a non-profit community outreach initiative designed to increase parental involvement in a child’s educational development, is proud to present the 11th Annual National LATINA Symposium – a national platform for Latina professionals to address the most pressing issues affecting the Hispanic woman in the United States. The Symposium will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 7:30 am – 3:30 pm at the Washington Marriott Ward man Park Hotel 2660 Woodley Rd. NW, Washington, D.C. 20008.
The highlight of the program is the Distinguished Military Service Award Luncheon, co-hosted with the Department of Defense. LATINA Style is proud to present the only national awards program honoring Latina military and civilian personnel who through their service have enhanced the role of Latinas in their organizations. The luncheon will also be the stage for the presentation of the President’s Award for continued service to the Hispanic community. This year, LATINA Style will be honoring the Association of Naval Services Officers (ANSO) for their contribution to advancing Latinas and Latinos of today to be tomorrow’s sea service leaders through mentorship, career management and professional development.
