Washington, DC  – Area Latino High School Seniors will be Honored at Special Ceremony, Promoted as Role Models, and Receive Educational Grants

 

WHO:              The Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) and their sponsors will host the 14th Annual Greater Washington Regional Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards as 18 Latino high school seniors from the area will be honored for their accomplishments in the classroom and community. Members of Congress and Latino leadership will participate in honoring the young leaders. 

 

WHEN:         January 31, 2012 (Reception with appetizers at 6 p.m. – Ceremony at 7 p.m.)

 

WHERE:       Securities and Exchange Commission (must bring picture ID to attend)

The Youth Awards program will feed the young leaders into the LOFT (Latinos On Fast Track) where they are connected to each other and established Latino professionals through LOFTnetwork.org for sharing of information, support and mentoring; prepared for the leadership and workforce through industry-specific trainings; and funneled into internships, fellowships and full-time positions.
